Line the bottom of the pot with moss, fill it with dirt, press dirt firmly into place, and then very carefully tuck your Pinguicula in. Please note that many Pinguicula experience a winter succulent stage. During this stage, they lose their carnivorous leaves and grow smaller, tighter rosettes of succulent leaves. If you order in winter, you may receive plants in this winter succulent phase and they will appear quite small. Don’t worry, they’ll grow much larger leaves again in spring!

Care Instructions
Sun: Sunny windowsills or in a terrarium under four T5 bulbs, filtered sun outdoors in the tropics
Water: Water frequently from overhead (gently) or into saucer with distilled or purified water from Spring through Summer so that the soil does not dry out too much in between watering and in winter they should be allowed to dry out slightly during their winter succulent phase
Temperature: 50 degrees - 90 degrees
Dormancy: no true dormancy but does have a winter succulent phase during which the plant will produce small succulent leaves instead of flat sticky leaves

14 days in, visible growth is happening

Kit arrived quickly once shipped (8 days to ship, 2 days to arrive) and the heating packet in the box was still warm. I followed the very good instructions in the video for setting up the tray and have watered the little plants with only distilled water. I am starting to see growth happening now that things are a little warmer, even on the smallest of the plants. Very pleased with them so far and will be purchasing from California Carnivores again.

3 Pinguicula Windowsill Garden Kit review

The kit came as described, well packaged, and the Pings are currently taking root next to the one I transplanted into the kit's setup. Thank you.

Cute little pings

I received 3 cute little pings. And watched the videos on the website, which made taking care of them a breeze.

Love this kit!

I wanted to buy a ping plant ever since I found out about them. Google searches and YouTubers lead me to California Carnivores and I couldn't decide which one I wanted. I discovered that they still had a 3 ping kit available and decided to gamble on what I'll get. It took a while, but these arrived in great condition. The plants looked a little pale, but it was no surprise since they traveled across the country with no soil and waiting to be potted. I purchased these early spring so I expect them to be dormant. I followed the video instructions and watched several of their YouTube videos to make sure I'm caring for them. It's been slow going, but they're starting to gain color. They're small right and can't wait until they come out of dormancy and catch some bugs. I love this as an intro to carnivorous plants! No regrets getting this kit!
