Sarracenia oreophila Potted

$ 54.99
Size: Large

Sarracenia oreophila is nearly extinct in the wild.  It looks similar to Sarracenia flava, producing most of its pitchers in spring and going dormant in late summer.  Pitchers are tall and stately, usually green, but many clones have strong red venation.

California Carnivores can ship this plant outside of California as per Permit Number ESPER0002076

Care Instructions
Sun: Full sun outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water
Temperature: 20 degrees - 80 degrees, can even take temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees but only for short periods
Dormancy: All Sarracenia require a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the pitchers will turn brown and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Still sitting in full sun and distilled water.

Sarracenia oreophila - potted

This plant, one of several I ordered, arrived in good condition. It and the others were very well packed for the journey from California to Texas. The order was filled promptly given the amount of orders they must have had from the spring sale. This plant is starting to grow well in its new environment and is putting on new pitchers. This is the second order I have placed with California Carnivors and I have been very pleased.
