Dionaea m. 'DC-XL' Potted
Dionaea m. 'DC-XL' is one of the most well known flytraps due to it's huge traps! We are very excited to be offering this highly sought after cultivar.
PLEASE NOTE THAT VENUS FLYTRAPS ARE DORMANT FROM OCTOBER - FEBRUARY. When we ship these plants dormant they can appear smaller than the photograph but they will grow vigorously again in spring!
Sun: Full sun outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water
Temperature: 20 degrees - 80 degrees, can even take temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees but only for short periods
Dormancy: All Venus flytraps require a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the traps will turn black and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Still sitting in full sun and distilled water.

Great product arrived packaged well. Grew vigorously last summer and then was put in the fridge for dormancy during winter. Now repotted in a bigger pot and starting to get massive again. Highly recommend!

The flytrap arrived safe and sound. It was very well packaged and wrapped and suffered no ill effects from the shipping. The plant is about the size of a 50 cent piece and very healthy. I look forward to seeing if DC XL lives up to its vigorous reputation.
