The upright trumpets are generally green with much red veination and can grow to be up to 30 inches tall. There is strong variability in this species throughout its range. Flowers are pale yellow to white. Grows from southern Alabama west into Texas. Medium alatas are almost blooming size and are usually about a foot tall.
