Lloyd observed bladderworts in action under microscopes to unlock their mysterious trapping mechanisms. So much so, that he was plagued by headaches as an old man. Also, he discusses the little known carnivorous fungi! There are very few black and white photos, but there are many of his beautiful hand drawn illustrations.
