As you might expect from the name this is the largest of the Mexican butterworts. The semi erect leaves make it the tallest too, on top of being able to grow at least 6 inches across. The flowers are white with a light purple tinge. It is also the only species with sticky glands on the undersides of the leaves.

Sun: Sunny windowsills or in a terrarium under four T5 bulbs, filtered sun outdoors in the tropics
Water: Sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water from Spring through Summer and in winter they should be allowed to dry out slightly during their winter succulent phase
