The annual Bay Area Carnivorous Plant Society (BACPS) Potluck at California Carnivores is coming up! This year it will on Saturday, July 9th, starting at noon. Bring a dish to share with your fellow carnivorous plant enthusiasts. The potluck is an event we look forward to all year; it's always lots of fun and we love getting to see everyone. Not only is it fun, but we will have a 15% off sale in the nursery that day only too! Check out our Visit Us page for more information on how to find the nursery.
Our guest speaker will be Bill Hoyer, the Natural Resources Specialist for San Nicholas Island. He works for the Navy, as there is a Naval base on the island, where he is charged with stewarding the wildlife, including an endemic population of pygmy foxes. In his spare time he has traveled all over the world to photograph carnivorous plants and other wildlife, often accompanying the famous naturalist, Ch'ien Lee.
