Nepenthes gymnamphora Potted

A lovely little species, N. gymnamphora comes from the jungle floors of Sumatra.  It tends to produce multiple lower growth points, rather than vine, so upper pitchers are almost never seen.  Pitchers are small and red with lots of maroon spots and they tend to bury themselves in the duff.  They can probably do with a little less light than most Nepenthes.  Although horticultural specimens of gymnamphora, pectinata, and xiphioides look unique enough to distinguish easily, plants in the wild vary greatly and interbreed.  Therefor these three species may soon me lumped into gymnamphora. These are from a single clone, BE-3078.

Care Instructions
Sun: Grow on sunny windowsills with at least three hours of direct sun, in greenhouses, or in a terrarium with fluorescent light
Water: Water with distilled or purified water frequently, do not let the pots sit in water for long periods of time but be sure to keep the potting medium moist all the time
Temperature: Daytime temperatures in the 70’s-80’s with a 10-20 degree drop in night temps
Dormancy: none needed
