Dionaea m. ‘Mammoth’ Potted

$ 14.99

Dionaea m. ‘Mammoth’ is a stunning plant that we’re thrilled to offer! This beauty results from breeding three giant cultivars, so you know it will be a showstopper. With tons of traps in low rosettes, so far, even in dormancy, this plant is a real eye-catcher. When grown in bright light, the traps blush a gorgeous red down the mid-rib, making it even more mesmerizing! You won’t want to miss out on this fantastic plant.

PLEASE NOTE VENUS FLYTRAPS GO DORMANT FROM OCTOBER-FEBRUARY; during this time, they appear relatively small and grow few traps.  They will begin to grow vigorously again in Spring.

Care Instructions
Sun: Full sun outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water
Temperature: 20 degrees - 80 degrees, can even take temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees but only for short periods
Dormancy: All Venus flytraps require a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the traps will turn black and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Still sitting in full sun and distilled water.

Superb packaging, small plants

California Carnivores will get your plants to you in terrific shape by really caring about the packaging for shipment. All plants arrived healthy and thriving. My only other comment is that the plants were much smaller than expected. Possibly I missed some description before I ordered. But the experience overall was very positive!! Thank you!!
