Ordering & Shipping Policies

GENERAL SHIPPING INFO

All sales are final. We cannot make additions or adjustments to orders once they are placed. We cannot combine orders once placed. 

We cannot ship live plants or seeds outside of the United States. If you place an order for anything to be shipped to an international location, your order will be canceled, and you will be refunded. Please contact your financial institution for any questions about the timing of refunds, as it varies by bank.

Discounts cannot be applied retroactively. We appreciate your understanding! Follow us on social media, and sign up to receive our newsletter, so you never miss a sale announcement.

We cannot offer expedited shipping. We ship all packages via USPS Priority Mail, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Please note that shipping times do not include order processing time of 7 - 15 business days before your order leaves the nursery. Order processing accounts for your place in our order queue, and the time it takes our team to pull, clean, wrap, and pack your plants for shipment. 

If your order is returned to us because the shipping address was not correct, we can re-ship the order, but you will have to pay for the shipping costs of the second shipment.

Consider local weather and have a plan for delivery during extreme heat or cold. We do our best to be aware of large weather systems which might affect shipping or delivery of our plants regionally, especially over winter. However, we ship all over the country year-round, and not all regions are supportive of plant life year-round. We appreciate your partnership in ensuring our special plants have the best chance of making it to you safe and sound! Heat packs are available for purchase here

SHIPPING PRICES

We ship all plants via USPS Priority Mail. Our rates are passed through directly from USPS, and will vary depending on shipment weight and distance traveled. We cannot offer expedited shipping for an additional fee. 

SHIPPING GUARANTEE

All plants are guaranteed to arrive healthy and in good condition. If plants arrive dead or in poor health, we are happy to issue a refund or replacement (though replacements are subject to availability). If you are worried about your plants for any reason upon arrival, we ask that you contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@californiacarnivores.com.  Please be sure to take a clear photo of the damaged plant upon arrival.

The plants we photograph for our website are representative of the plants we ship. Plants are photographed during their growing season.  While dormant, they may appear smaller, or maybe even dead, but will quickly grow to look like the ones photographed when they resume growth if properly cared for.  We ship dormant plants with a "Dormant" label.

If a plant isn't available in the size in the size you ordered, it is our policy to send you the next size available and refund any difference in price where applicable. We appreciate your understanding! 

MERCHANDISE AND APPAREL

Each clothing item is made to order just for you and shipped directly from our production partner. As a small business, we’re unable to offer returns or exchanges on apparel at this time. Please be sure to review the size chart carefully before placing your order. If you’re between sizes or unsure, we recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Our current order volume is very high! Your package will ship 7 - 15 business days from the date your order is placed. We appreciate your patience as our team works hard to pick, pack, and ship your plants with speed and care!
