King Sundew (Drosera Regia)

Drosera regia, the king sundew, is in a class of its own. This impressive plant is rare in nature—only a few South African colonies are known. This large plant has stiff, sword-shaped leaves arching outward in a rosette pattern. The leaves can approach two feet in length, and the plants gradually form stems that can form offshoots from their thick roots. On younger plants, the leaves can move dramatically, twisting in knots around larger prey. Indeed, it is a fantastic plant to grow. Click here for growing tips.
