3 Plant Indoor Windowsill Carnivorous Houseplant Collection

Have you always wanted to grow your own carnivorous houseplants? This is the perfect collection for you! We’ll send you a potted Drosera, a potted Nepenthes and a bare-root Pinguicula with a pot and soil so you can pot it up upon receipt. These three plants make great additions to any sunny windowsill or under grow lights. Keep them potted separately, as they have different soil mixes and watering preferences, and grow them in lots of direct light! Watch them catch fruit flies and gnats and even the occasional housefly! Check out our YouTube channel for lots of helpful care tips. This kit ships free and is not customizable.

Please note that many Pinguicula experience a winter succulent stage. During this stage, they lose their carnivorous leaves and grow smaller, tighter rosettes of succulent leaves. If you order in winter, you may receive plants in this winter succulent phase and they will appear quite small. Don’t worry, they’ll grow much larger leaves again in spring!

Care Instructions
Sun: Sunny windowsills or in a terrarium under four T5 bulbs, filtered sun outdoors in the tropics
Water: 

For Pinguicula; Water frequently from overhead (gently) or into saucer with distilled or purified water from Spring through Summer so that the soil does not dry out too much in between watering and in winter they should be allowed to dry out slightly during their winter succulent phase

For Nepenthes; Water frequently with distilled water but do not let sit in deep water for long periods of time. You can fill the pitchers with a bit of distilled water upon receipt of the plant. Appreciates humidity or overhead watering as well.

For Drosera; always sitting in a deep saucer of distilled water. 
Temperature: 50 degrees - 90 degrees
Dormancy: no true dormancy but Pinguicula can have a winter succulent phase during which the plant will produce small succulent leaves instead of flat sticky leaves
