Dionaea m. 'DC-XL' Potted
Dionaea m. 'DC-XL' is one of the most well known flytraps due to it's huge traps! We are very excited to be offering this highly sought after cultivar.
These are small sized plants that will grow rapidly in summer!
PLEASE NOTE THAT VENUS FLYTRAPS ARE DORMANT FROM OCTOBER - FEBRUARY. When we ship these plants dormant they can appear smaller than the photograph but they will grow vigorously again in spring!
Sun: Full sun outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water
Temperature: 20 degrees - 80 degrees, can even take temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees but only for short periods
Dormancy: All Venus flytraps require a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the traps will turn black and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Still sitting in full sun and distilled water.

Plant came with part of the plant attached to the plastic. When I carefully tried to separate it the whole plant pulled out. I tried to put ot back in bit a week later most of the plant is black and dying. I am very disappointed
Getting bigger!
It is a bit smaller than I expected but I am sure it will be HUGE next year so I am looking forward to that!
