Sarracenia x moorei “Anthocyanin free Clone 1” Potted

$ 99.99
Size: Large

We've always been in love with anthocyanin-free x moorei! Moorei is arguably the most stunning of the natural hybrids, combining the classic beauty of flava and leucophylla. These plants are no exception; tall, wide mouthed and beautiful lime green and white with frilly lids! We only have llimited divisions available.

Care Instructions
Sun: Full sun outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water
Temperature: 20 degrees - 80 degrees, can even take temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees but only for short periods
Dormancy: All Sarracenia require a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the pitchers will turn brown and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Still sitting in full sun and distilled water.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Sarracenia x moorei “Anthocyanin free Clone 1” Potted plant was quite disappointing. Despite the hefty price tag of $99.99, I found several issues with both the product and the accompanying care instructions.

Firstly, the plant itself did not live up to the advertised description. While it promised to be "stunning" with "frilly lids" and a "beautiful lime green and white" coloration, what I received was far from that. The plant looked rather lackluster, with dull colors and unimpressive growth. It certainly did not live up to the hype of being "arguably the most stunning of the natural hybrids".

Furthermore, the care instructions provided were insufficient and misleading. While it's common knowledge that Sarracenia plants require full sun and a specific water regimen, the instructions provided were vague and contradictory. For instance, it mentioned that the plant should be kept in temperatures ranging from 20 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but then stated that it can tolerate temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees for short periods. This conflicting information left me uncertain about how to properly care for the plant.

Additionally, the recommendation for winter dormancy was impractical for many buyers. Not everyone has the luxury of outdoor space or unheated rooms to accommodate a plant's dormancy needs. Suggesting to leave the plant outdoors in full sun during the winter months may not be feasible for those in colder climates or urban environments.

Overall, I was deeply disappointed with my purchase of the Sarracenia x moorei “Anthocyanin free Clone 1” Potted plant. Given its high price and underwhelming appearance, coupled with inadequate care instructions, I cannot recommend this product to others.
