I love this mix and I think it has magic in it. I used it to repot some Venus fly traps that looked bad and they are blooming back to life!! This mix is highly recommended.

Every time I put any of my Nepethes in this mix they thrive. I've never had a single issue using this mix and highly recommend it for any beginner to Nepethes plants.

I love California Carnivores, all their plants have been fantastic and their soil works when I grow my plants in it. I even get "free" hitchhikers like terrestrial bladderworts, and some D. capensis. I'm giving 4 stars though, because it took longer than 2 weeks for my latest soil order to arrive. It might be supply chain issues, maybe not their fault. Great products otherwise.

The quality of the sphagnum moss in this alone is so insanely good compared to other sphagnum I've purchased before at Lowe's. Truly long fibered, and the golden color is beautiful and refreshing change to the dull brown that is commonly sold. The long fibers also really make a difference: so much easier to work with and nestle the plant into when potting and also believe it'll make it that much easier to remove and repot again in the future. The shorter fibered, lower quality moss can get more easily tangled in the roots making it harder to separate and increasing the risk of root damage, but this should be a breeze to remove. The greatest addition to this is the orchid bark. It adds great aeration to the substrate while being large enough that it makes it easy to work with. The pumice and perlite can be a bit finnicky with their smaller particle size but overall an amazing mix and one bag is enough to pot several plants or to re-pot a single plant for many, many seasons to come. Very impressed and happy with my purchase. Excellent for a beginner grower.

Being a newbie to the Nepenthes plant, having such quality product to help me be successful is so appreciated. There is much more product than I anticipated, definitely enough for more than one use…depending on the size of container used.

Ordered this along with a couple of nepenthes and was surprised by how much was actually included. I was able to pot both of the nepenthes that I ordered as well as two others that I already had. They are all doing great and growing really well! Just make sure you have something big enough to mix it in!

I love the pre-mixed potting media because I feel my carnivorous plants have a much better chance when the “experts” prepare the right mix.

It took a while but I finally got it. I may be able to save my plant. Yay!!!

It is good condition soil and yet to use, but I'm looking forward to the quality mix for my new plant babies.

This medium is like magic for my nepenthes. I bought mine at a farmers market and after a couple years, I felt it needed to be repotted. It is happier than ever now repotted with this mix and is making a bunch of pitchers.

I was really surprised when my California Carnivores Premium Nepenthes it already had a pod open and one just about to open. Arrived healthy and looking good!

My 1st review I was a little concerned as the cup was turning black after a week. Reached out to the company, and was told not to worry, probably a result of mailing shock. Well, there's new growth!!! All is well!!! Moral of the story is be patient. Thank you :)

This is the only potting mix I will use for my Nepenthes.

When you're in a pinch, of course everything from California Carnivores is going to be super high quality and great. It is of course more economical to mix my own soil but, in a small living space and with a small number of plants, I don't need 3 cubic feet of sphagnum as a roommate, so this sort of thing is ideal.

Are you doubting what type of soil you are using then why not get it straight from the supplier? 10/10 you will not go wrong here. If u do go wrong it’s100% user error.
