Drosera x 'Dreamsicle' Potted

$ 24.99

We have run out of stock for this item.

One of our favorite threadleaf hybrids, this plant is Drosera tracyi anthocyanin free by Drosera filiformis v. floridana, named ‘Dreamsicle’. It combines the all green, vigorous tracyi with the deep red Florida filiformis. This mix created a plant covered in orangey dew drops that sparkle a fiery orange in the afternoon sun! It has pale pink flowers. As a cultivar it should only be reproduced through leaf cuttings and the seed should be destroyed.

These plants go dormant from October to February and may arrive with little to no leaves.  The plants die back to the crown during this period and will grow again vigorously in spring.

Care Instructions
Sun: Full sun indoors, or outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water

Dormancy: Requires a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the leaves will turn black and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Great Plant

Very pleased with the quality of this plant and also the Florida Giant I got at the same time. Both were healthy and a good size. They have almost doubled in size in the 2 weeks I've had them.

Arrived a bit dry as it's likely going into dormancy (late September) but packaging was durable and plant was very secure.
