$ 24.99

We have run out of stock for this item.

Pinguicula moranensis var. alba "Molongo" x cyclosecta is perhaps our favorite hybrid that Damon’s ever made. We’ve decided to name this fantastic plant “Lilac Lollipop” in honor of its spectacular lilac flowers!

These little butterworts blush a soft purple when exposed to bright light, like a giant cyclosecta. It produces so many l flowers that are a sweet lavender reminiscent of a violet. We’re head over heels in love with this plant! This is Kate and Daniela's must have butterwort!

These plants are about the size of a quarter!

These plants have a winter succulent phase in which they shed their carnivorous leaves and grow smaller succulent leaves. They greatly reduce in size, shrinking down to a tiny, cute little succulent rosette! If you order in winter, you plant will come in a tiny succulent rosette. But don’t worry, with proper conditions it will soon grow much larger carnivorous leaves and surprise you with its fantastically quick growth!

THIS PLANT WILL NOT COME POTTED, YOU WILL NEED TO POT IT UPON ARRIVAL.  MEXICAN/TROPICAL PINGUICULA PREFER OUR SANDY PINGUICULA SOIL MIX.

Care Instructions
Sun: Sunny windowsills or in a terrarium under four T5 bulbs, filtered sun outdoors in the tropics
Water: Sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water from Spring through Summer and in winter they should be allowed to dry out slightly during their winter succulent phase
Temperature: 50 degrees - 90 degrees
Dormancy: no true dormancy but does have a winter succulent phase during which the plant will produce small succulent leaves instead of flat sticky leaves

I paid about 50 bucks total to receive plants that are half dead. I paid for 2 day shipping and still got my order a day late. I emailed them about the problem, with pictures, and the response was that someone near and dear to them is in his last days in hospice and that's what they're struggling with. I feel for you, I really do. But in the end, business is a business. If you guys couldn't cope, you shouldn't be doing business and taking people's money if your quality is going to be this bad. Needless to say, I did not get a resolution for this problem. Will most likely not be ordering from here again. I ordered about 10 pings from Curious Plant and they all arrived in perfect health and are all thriving. I will stick with them from now on. California carnivores was an absolute disappointment. Never again, first experience was bad enough, I won't be doing this a second time. Waste of money

Sadly, the plant died. However!

Unfortunately out of all the $100’s I’ve spent at my favorite “California Carnivores” online plant shop. This has been the only specific Ping plant that has died about 4 days after planting, it with the rest of my Ping’s. Maybe I’ll order it again someday. I understand these things just happen even to the best of us. Best online carnivores shop though! ❤️

California carnivores, contacted me via email to replace or refund my money. I’ve requested a new plant and waiting for them to contact via email to replace with a fresh new Ping!

Thank you! You guys are the best online store for Carnivores!
