Pinguicula x “Piggyback” BARE ROOT

This brand new cross from 2023 is a miniature hybrid with beautiful pale green rosettes and cute pointed leaves with gently rolled margins. Under high light the rosettes can blush a soft pink! This one is a bloomer and under ideal conditions it should be under almost constant bloom with its cute little pink flowers! Ideal for ping rocks and terrariums! The hybrid is ehlersiae “Mighty Mouse” x emarginata “Purple”.

These plants go into a succulent winter phase where their leaves change size and shape; if you order in the cooler months of Nov-March, your plant may arrive in this succulent phase; it will appear much smaller than it will be in full spring/summer growth!

THIS PLANT WILL NOT COME POTTED, YOU WILL NEED TO POT IT UPON ARRIVAL.  MEXICAN/TROPICAL PINGUICULA PREFER OUR SANDY PINGUICULA SOIL MIX.

Care Instructions
Sun: Sunny windowsills or in a terrarium under four T5 bulbs, filtered sun outdoors in the tropics
Water: Sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water from Spring through Summer and in winter they should be allowed to dry out slightly during their winter succulent phase
Temperature: 50 degrees - 90 degrees
Dormancy: no true dormancy but does have a winter succulent phase during which the plant will produce small succulent leaves instead of flat sticky leaves
