The beautiful Byblis liniflora may be the easiest of the Byblis to grow, and it self-pollinates! Its lovely, dewy, branching stems grow on small, relatively compact plants that can sometimes fall over and scramble. The branching stems are a delicate green color.
It is named for its charming purple flowers that resemble flax!
Please note that these are annuals and will die back in cold weather. Be sure to harvest the seed to make more plants!

So far, only 1 out of ten of these seeds has germinated, but I’m not throwing the towel in just yet. I’ve had better luck with the other Kingston Rest Dark flower version of Byblis Liniflora (see my review elsewhere of these) seeds. The plant that did emerge is robust and growing quickly. My soil mix for these is 2 parts horticultural sand, 1 part sphagnum peat, and 1 part perlite. Please give these seeds plenty of light and humidity and time to germinate.

Easy to germinate!
All I had to do was sprinkle the seeds on top of the soil mix and put into a covered container with distilled water. Looking at my firsts sprouts!
