A note for beginners: growing carnivorous plants from seed is usually a slow and delicate process. It could take as long as 3-4 years to grow an American pitcher plant that we sell for $9.99, and Venus flytraps can take seven years to mature.
It is also important to note that cultivars of plants like Venus flytraps are not genetically identical to their parent plants when grown from seed. While the seed will have much of the genetic similarities to the parent cultivars, each seed is genetically unique and cannot be labeled as a pure cultivar. Click here for our seed sowing tips!
For international orders, California Carnivores will not be responsible for additional costs due to importing, such as customs charges. Seed orders are shipped in padded envelopes.

Dionaea m. “BCP Clone X11” is a rare offering for us. This cultivar has short triangular teeth (like sharks teeth), orange-green color of the traps, and only 2 sensitive hairs on each leaf!
These are open-pollinated, meaning the plants have been pollinated naturally, without our help, in our substantial botanical collection of select Venus flytrap cultivars. Dionaea m. ”Carniplants 003” is one of the rarer plants in our botanical collection! Mature traps flare backwards and edged with dentate cilia.

Dionaea m. ”Carniplants 007” Seed Pack (12 seeds/pack)
Dionaea m. “007 Carniplants" is one of the fun and rare cultivars Damon was able to add to our collection a few years ago. The color contrast of these traps is fantastic! The interior is bright cherry-red, and the outer margin is highlighter yellow-green with gently rippling, short, jagged teeth. They always stand out because of this vivid coloration!
