A note for beginners: growing carnivorous plants from seed is usually a slow and delicate process. It could take as long as 3-4 years to grow an American pitcher plant that we sell for $9.99, and Venus flytraps can take seven years to mature.
It is also important to note that cultivars of plants like Venus flytraps are not genetically identical to their parent plants when grown from seed.
