This famous cultivar of Leucophylla is one of the historic CalCarn plants! Peter originally received it from the renowned Don Schnell. It’s been a staple of our botanical collection and used in many of our hybrids including Peter’s most highly sought after cross, ‘Deep Throat’! In fact, it’s such a nice plant that Peter gave a division to Martha Stewart after appearing on her television show (the cultivar was nicknamed “Martha Stewart” around the nursery for many years!)

This tall, large-throated leucophylla has exceptional red coloration running up and down the pitchers; vibrantly red at the base, the red splits off into dark red veins rippling across the luminously white pitcher mouth and lids. The red coloration and deep red venation tends to carry over into crosses made with this plant and it’s a must have for the Sarracenia collector and breeder! These are limited divisions from our botanical collection.
