Dionaea m. 'Korean Melody Shark' Potted

$ 14.99

We are very excited about Dionaea m. 'Korean Melody Shark'!  This cultivar was created in Korea by accident during a conservation effort that involved mass propagation of flytraps.  Each of the broad traps grows atop an incredibly thin and delicate petiole; looking a bit like a written musical note (hence the name 'melody').  They grow diminutive teeth along each trap and often flush red.  This is a bizarre and striking plant and a definite must have for the flytrap collector!

PLEASE NOTE THAT VENUS FLYTRAPS ARE DORMANT FROM OCTOBER - FEBRUARY.  When we ship these plants dormant they can appear smaller than the photograph but they will grow vigorously again in spring!

Care Instructions
Sun: Full sun outdoors
Water: Always sitting in at least two inches of distilled or purified water
Temperature: 20 degrees - 80 degrees, can even take temperatures from freezing to 100 degrees but only for short periods
Dormancy: All Venus flytraps require a winter dormancy starting in October and ending in February. Many of the traps will turn black and die back during this time. Leave them outdoors in full sun, sitting in distilled water during this period. If you live in an area that snows; over winter them indoors on a sunny windowsill in an unheated room or garage. Still sitting in full sun and distilled water.

Came slightly damaged, but it still grew like crazy so it’s no problem
