Ever since I started my hobby of growing carnivorous plants, nepenthes were high on my radar. But after reading and watching so many videos, it seemed like a difficult plant to keep alive with all its requirements. Despite this, I still wanted to try and use it as a learning experience, even if things went south. Fortunately, it seems like that isn't the case! In addition to the helpful videos and careful packing from California Carnivores, my St. Gaya has been thriving! I'm also thankful that they sent me one that was already a good size, instead of a tiny one like other sellers normally list for sale. Overall, I'm very happy and would definitely order more plants from here!

I’m very please with the shipping time along with the condition. Thanks again for giving me such a fat lil healthy carnivore! (I also repotted it fyi) I think the only problem was I didn’t know if they’d spilt out during shipping you can put 0.5 to and inch of distilled water to make them viable again, for anyone curious. 🤤✌️

My first Nepenthes! Arrived safe and healthy. Beautiful coloration on the pitchers and growing vigorously!

Packing was amazing! There was only a little damage to one of the pitchers, but that’s hard to avoid. The rest of the plant was I great shape and it settled into its new environment quickly.

Waited for this one for a while and I'm glad I have her in my collection. She arrived in perfect condition and is still going strong.

Plant took a little time to acclimate but became very happy

So pleased with everything! The shipping was fairly quick once it was shipped. It came wrapped up beautifully, just as expected from their video. My Ventricosa x Burkei came with very healthy and still had wet moss soil. Now here’s to hoping this east facing window doesn’t let me down!

Great little starting plant

I have lost count of what order this is, but I’m truly fascinated and in love with the quality of plants that California Carnivores offers. The saint gaya that I ordered had a little bit of leaf damage, but that’s completely normal as not all plants will be able to tolerate the shipping shock that they experience for a few days as it gets packed and shipped to us. Overall I will continue to keep supporting Cal Carn, they have really good customers service and support tysm again for providing a great selection for us barely starting out, and as well also offering more expensive options for those that are already more experienced at growing carnivorous plants. Don’t be afraid to order. You won’t be disappointed. Also remember they have a lot of videos and articles with tips and tricks. Always educate yourself a bit so you don’t accidentally kill them and then blame cal carn in like other reviews I’ve seen. #skillissue to those growers that couldn’t correctly grow them and then blame their mistakes on others. Plant arrived and was surprisingly small. But has been growing very quickly and came in excellent condition. Looks beautiful in my kitchen window. I love it! Thank you!

St Gaya was the first nepenthes I had and I was feeling nostalgic so I placed this order. The plant was smaller than expected but it is a vigorous grower so no real disappointment. As with all the plants I have purchased from Cal Carn it was packaged with care and arrived in great condition!

Plant was in good shape I wasn't here for it's arrival but when I came back it was thriving even made a pitcher hope It can thrive during Michigans winters.
